Hi all! This New Yorker article from a few years ago came to mind when we were talking about Coleman Barks's translations of Rumi. Upon re-reading, I see that Dr. Mojaddedi is quoted quite a bit. The sidebar in the chat today discussing the 'punk' aspect of Sufism brought to mind the memoir Beeswing, by British songwriter, rock musician, and Sufi convert Richard Thompson. Also, I wanted to share a Youtube channel called Elif'in Hecesi, which posts music from Turkey and Iran.
