I live and teach in Brooklyn, NY as a school librarian.

One thing I'm most excited about for the institute is learning more about maqams.

I enjoy playing music, bicycle riding, and baking bread. Currently reading Bird Uncaged: An Abolitionist's Freedom Song by Marlon Peterson.

Surprising/unusual fact: I have officiated 2 weddings (so far!).
